Month-long rink residency at SKATE Portsmouth
Need Street Food (formerly Feed Hot Dog Co.) spent December 2017 serving up life-saving street food as the featured trader at the Skate Portsmouth ice rink in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth.
We were stoked to work with SKATE Portsmouth on the event. The ice rink in Guildhall Square proved to be an awesome addition to the city’s festivities, and it was great to be a part of it.
Nothing went to waste during our SKATE Portsmouth residency. Any and all leftovers went out to people in need in the community at the end of every night.
Steamed brioche bun, maple bacon, house slaw, and chipotle sauce — one of the first hot dogs we slung at our SKATE Portsmouth residency in Guildhall Square!
We got a little merry on Christmas Day, came back to the chalet on December 26th, tried putting fries in a hot dog, and, well, it turned out pretty darn good!
Event exclusive: our Festive Fries — rosemary salted fries covered in gravy and cheddar cheese sauce, with an extra topping of maple bacon. Went down a treat!
It was our longest residency to date at the time of writing, spanning from November 18th ‘til January 2nd.
We had Need-branded sauces on the chalet and vegan options, ticking all the taste boxes.
We were sited next to the Moguls Alpine Bar, the place to go for beer and chill vibes during the six-week ice rink event.
Guests we welcomed to our chalet during the residency included then-Lord Mayor, Mr. Ken Ellcome!
